Honey granola bars

I love granola bars, but there is a problem if you want to buy them in the shops. Do you read information on the packaging? You SHOULD, sometimes I am really in shock what everything is hidden in an ordinary granola bar.

These granola bars are sweetened with honey instead of sugar. And if you want to try without any sweetener you can bake these.

Recipe:
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup flaked almonds
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 2 tbsp seeds (pumpkin, flax, sesame...)
- 1 cup unsweetened puffed cereal
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup dried apricots (chop them into little pieces)
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 1,5oz butter
- 4 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 300F/150C. Place on the baking sheet the parchment paper and spread the oats, almonds and seeds over it. Bake for 10 minutes.

In a saucepan heat the butter and add honey and vanilla extract. Stir together.

Put the puffed cereal, dried fruit into a bowl and add melted butter with honey and vanilla extract.

Combine everything together. Grease the baking tin and spread the mixture over it, then use your hands or a tablespoon and press it firmly. Refrigerate for 30 minutes and then cut it into the squares.
